Privacy Policy

At MOMEON, we believe that preserving a moment should not require collecting a lifetime of data. We therefore apply, as far as possible, a simple principle: collect only the data necessary for the operation, security and legitimate improvement of the service.
1. Data Controller
The controller of the processing carried out within the MOMEON service is the entity that operates MOMEON. During the private beta phase, MOMEON is operated as part of its development and gradual rollout.

2. Minimization Principle
MOMEON is built around a principle of data minimization. We do not seek to build a detailed profile of our users, and we do not sell their personal data.
3. Data That May Be Processed
Depending on your use of the service:
Account data
- email address;
- information necessary for authentication;
- account-related information.
Data associated with Momeons
- date and time;
- message;
- recipient when provided;
- visibility;
- technical information necessary for recording.
Technical data
- IP address;
- browser or device information;
- technical logs;
- connection dates and times;
- security events;
- information necessary to detect abnormal activity.

5. Public and Private Momeons
Public Momeons are intended to be viewable by others. Private Momeons are not intended to appear in the public spaces of the service. MOMEON implements technical controls intended to honor this setting.
6. Personal Data Contained in Momeons
The user remains responsible for the information they choose to publish. Before making a Momeon public, they should verify that it does not contain confidential information or data about another person whose publication would not be authorized.
7. Processors
MOMEON may use technical processors for hosting, infrastructure, authentication, storage, security, maintenance and technical communication. MOMEON notably uses Base44 for its technical infrastructure. MOMEON does not sell users' personal data.
8. International Transfers
Some processors may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where necessary, transfers rely on a mechanism recognized by the applicable regulation.
9. Retention
Data is retained for a period proportionate to the purposes for which it is processed. Account data is retained for the lifetime of the account, subject to legal obligations. Momeons are retained as long as the account and the service allow their retention, subject to legitimate deletion requests, legal obligations, moderation or security requirements. Technical logs are retained for a limited period proportionate to security and operational needs.
10. Security
MOMEON implements technical and organizational measures intended to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or misuse. No system connected to the Internet can be perfectly secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
11. Cookies and Trackers
MOMEON may use cookies or similar technologies necessary for the service to function. Details are provided on the Cookies & Trackers page.
12. Your Rights
Under the conditions set out by the GDPR, you notably have:
- a right of access;
- a right to rectification;
- a right to erasure;
- a right to restriction;
- a right to object;
- a right to portability where the conditions are met;
- the right to withdraw your consent where processing is based on it.
13. Exercising Your Rights

14. Complaint
If you believe your rights are not respected after contacting us, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
15. Minors
MOMEON is not intended for children under 15. Where consent is the legal basis for processing and the minor is under 15, it is collected under the conditions provided by applicable French regulation.
16. Changes
This policy may evolve with the service and the regulation. Substantial changes will be communicated appropriately where necessary.
