A question about MOMEON? Here are answers to the most common questions about Momeons, your account, privacy, and how the service works. If you don't find your answer: momeon.contact@gmail.com
The Momeons
What is a Momeon?
A Momeon is a precise second preserved in time. You choose an instant, optionally associate a few words with it — 150 characters maximum — then keep it. No photo. No video. No file. One second. A few words. A story only you know.
How do I create a Momeon?
During the private beta, access to creation may be offered through an access link, notably via Foundation partnerships. When you have access:
- open your link;
- choose the instant;
- add a message if you wish;
- choose its visibility;
- confirm your Momeon.
The officially recorded time is determined by MOMEON's systems at the moment of creation.
Why only 150 characters?
Because a Momeon is not meant to tell a whole story. It is meant to keep its essence. The moment is the heart. The words are only its trace.
Can I edit my Momeon?
Editing options depend on the features offered. Some information may not be editable after creation when it is part of the Momeon's temporal identity. If there's an issue: momeon.contact@gmail.com
Can I delete a Momeon?
Yes. Contact: momeon.contact@gmail.com. Provide its URL or identifier if possible.
Visibility
Can I make my Momeon private?
Yes, when this feature is offered. A public Momeon can be viewed by others. A private Momeon is not intended to appear in the public spaces of the service. MOMEON applies this choice at the system level. Since no digital system can guarantee absolute confidentiality, we recommend never publishing information you wish to keep absolutely secret.
Can I change the visibility?
Options depend on available features. If the option is not available: momeon.contact@gmail.com
Preservation
How long is a Momeon preserved?
MOMEON is designed to preserve moments over time. We want Momeons to remain accessible for as long as the service exists and operates under normal conditions. However, no digital platform can legally guarantee eternal accessibility. "Forever" is a philosophical promise. Not one technology can make unconditionally.
Account
How do I delete my account?
Contact: momeon.contact@gmail.com. We will handle your request in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
What happens to my Momeons?
Deleting an account may result in the deletion of associated Momeons, depending on the features and conditions that apply. If you want particular handling for a Momeon, specify it in your request.
Privacy
What data does MOMEON collect?
Depending on your use of the service, MOMEON may process your email address, the information needed for your account, the contents of your Momeons, and certain technical data necessary for operation and security. MOMEON does not currently allow photos, videos, or files to be added to Momeons. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Does MOMEON sell my data?
No. MOMEON does not sell your personal data and does not aim to build advertising profiles from your activity on the service.
How does MOMEON protect my data?
We implement technical and organizational measures intended to protect data. However, no platform connected to the Internet can guarantee absolute security.
Reporting & moderation
How do I report a Momeon?
Use the "Report this Momeon" feature when available. You can also write to: momeon.contact@gmail.com
What happens after a report?
A report may be reviewed based on its nature and context. MOMEON may take no action, limit visibility, delete content, restrict certain features, or suspend an account depending on the situation. See our Content Rules & Moderation for details.
Private beta
Why is MOMEON still in private beta?
MOMEON is still being built. The private beta lets us test the service with a limited number of people, improve the experience, and verify that the project's foundations are solid before a broader opening. Some features may therefore evolve during this period.
I found a bug. What should I do?
Write to us at: momeon.contact@gmail.com. If possible, include:
- what you were trying to do;
- what happened;
- your browser or device;
- a screenshot if helpful.
Bugs are sometimes the first memories one creates on a new service.
