Terms of Service

MOMEON is a living archive of human time. It allows you to preserve a precise moment in time as a permanent, shareable digital object called a Momeon.

A Momeon contains:

• A precise date and time (to the exact second).
• An optional text message of up to 150 characters.
• An optional recipient name.
• A public or private visibility setting.

MOMEON does not allow users to upload images, videos, or files. A Momeon is intentionally limited to text and time.

By using MOMEON, creating an account, or claiming a moment, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The official timestamp of a Momeon is generated and verified server-side. The browser clock is indicative only and is never authoritative. MOMEON reserves the right to reject timestamps it considers invalid or manipulated.

Each Momeon message is limited to 150 characters. This limit is enforced both client-side and server-side. Messages exceeding 150 characters will be rejected or truncated.

Each exact second may only be claimed once. Uniqueness is enforced server-side. If two users attempt to claim the same second simultaneously, only the first will succeed.

You are responsible for the content of your Momeons. You agree not to include content that is unlawful, harmful, or that violates the rights of others. See our Content Policy for details.

You must not include in a Momeon:

• Threats, calls for violence, harassment, hate, or discrimination.
• Fraud, illegal content, or impersonation.
• Passwords, financial credentials, or confidential information.
• Private contact information or medical information about another person.
• Sexual content involving minors.
• Intellectual property that you do not have the right to use.

You must not publish personal information about another person where you do not have an appropriate right, authorization, or legitimate basis to do so. Mentioning another person's name is not prohibited in itself, but publishing identifying or private information without basis is.

You may choose to make your Momeon public or private. Public Momeons may appear in Explore, search, and on public pages. Private Momeons are only visible to you and are never exposed in public listings, search, or API responses.

MOMEON may moderate content that violates these Terms or applicable law. You can report a Momeon using the "Report this Momeon" feature. Moderation may result in no action, content review, temporary hiding, deletion, account restriction, or suspension.

MOMEON and its visual identity, design, typography, and branding are protected by intellectual property rights. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute MOMEON's branding without permission.

You retain ownership of the original content you publish in your Momeons. By creating a Momeon, you grant MOMEON only the rights reasonably necessary to host, technically reproduce, display, and distribute your content as required to operate the service. MOMEON does not become the owner of your messages.

You may request the deletion of your Momeons or your account at any time by contacting momeon.contact@gmail.com. Certain information may need to be retained to comply with applicable law.

MOMEON implements reasonable security measures to protect your data. However, no system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.

Abuse of the service — including automated claiming, timestamp manipulation, spam, or repeated violations — may result in account restriction or suspension without notice.

MOMEON is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time.

We may update or change the features and operation of MOMEON over time. We will not make changes that fundamentally alter the nature of your existing Momeons without notice.

MOMEON uses expressions such as "Some moments deserve forever." This reflects the product's intention and preservation experience. It is not an absolute legal guarantee that data can never be removed. Content may need to be deleted or made inaccessible at your legitimate request, to comply with applicable law, to protect third-party rights, following valid moderation, for security reasons, or following a competent authority request.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. The competent jurisdiction is the courts of France.
